How would you describe your music?

eclectic, functional, gregarious, intrepid, aesthetically pleasing, juxtaposing

What computer and audio hardware do you use?

Mac Pro 2 X 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon with 14GB RAM running Mac OS X 10.6.7

M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 (which I’m hoping to replace), Kore 2, Roland VS-1680, Roland DS-90 digital monitors, Behringer Tube Ultrafex, TL Audio VL1 8 Channel Valve Interface, Yamaha WX5 MIDI Wind Controller, Sony 36″ Bravia LCD HDTV, Canopus ADVC-110 video interface, MOTU Ultralite audio interface

What software and samples do you use?

Apple Logic Studio Pro 9, Finale 2011, Cue Tracker, MOTU MachFive 2.0, NI Komplete 7 (Kontakt 4), Kore 2, EastWest/Quantum Leap Composers Collection, Tonehammer/Microhammer, MOTU Ethnic 2.0, u-he Zebra v2.5, CineSamples Drums of War, CineHarp, and CineToms

What would be your dream studio setup?
I’m a minimalist when it comes to technology so my dream studio setup wouldn’t necessarily consist of more hardware or software. I’d love to have a room adjacent to my DAW with two pianos positioned in perfect harmony within a perfectly tuned acoustical space. The first piano would be a Bösendorfer grand while the other would be a heavily-used older piano from a local elementary school or pawn shop.

Behind me would be a couple rows of chairs with microphones, headphones, and music stands so I could call in any combination of instruments I need to perform whatever ideas I’ve come up with.

I’d love to have more access to talented instrumentalists within my studio workspace and incorporate them into the workflow.
